Short and Sweet Velo

Cycling/Photography related blog. I race at an elite level for road and track. A good portion of the content is original but I also include material that excites me. If you like bikes and photos, we have something in common.

“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” ― Ansel Adams

So I wanted a small film camera that would fit in my jersey pocket.  I recently acquired a Canon Demi half frame compact camera.  If you compare it to the other rangefinder camera Canon QL 19, you can see that the lens doesn’t protrude much.

For me a requirement for a compact point and shoot is a fixed lens and of course small size.  The Demi happens for satisfy the two major requirements while being inexpensive. I can’t speak how well the pictures will turn out but I’m hoping that they’re on average better than cell phone pics.  The Pentax Epsio mini would have been ideal but it eats film.
